Living our lives; moment to moment, one direction.
A poem by the Chinese Ming Dynasty poet Kokei (1336 - 1374).
Crossing the river, seeing the flowers.
Going through the side roads along the riverside
where the spring breeze blows,
Before realising it I arrive at my friend's home.
This passing the water and seeing the flower, arriving at the house, all of this is this moment. This moment-moment is life, the life of absolute truth, true human life, just as it is. This poem is only one way. It doesn’t talk about the journey back. That is our life. It is only one way. Only moment-moment. Our whole life. A beautiful life.
